There are also direct rail connections to Waterloo - and Bournemouth airport is a quieter and more convenient alternative to either Heathrow or Gatwick.
It was Bournemouth's seven miles of sandy beaches that first attracted The Victorians, and the area has been a popular destination ever since. But it has grown to be far more than a sleepy sea-side town. Some substantial multi-national companies, particularly those involved in insurance and finance, have chosen to make their headquarters here, so the business infrastructure is as good as you'll find anywhere in the country.
